Job Description:
BayBreez.com – The Chesapeake Wellness Initiative is seeking a passionate and motivated Fundraising Specialist to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, your main focus will be raising funds to support our mission of promoting wellness and mindfulness in the community. While this position starts as unpaid, there is potential for compensation based on the funds raised, with opportunities for base pay for candidates who show exceptional potential to drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Research and identify grant opportunities, sponsorships, and donor prospects.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Organize and manage fundraising events, campaigns, and online donation drives.
- Create compelling fundraising proposals, marketing materials, and grant applications.
- Collaborate closely with the Founder to align fundraising goals with organizational needs.
- Manage fundraising budgets, track progress, and provide detailed reports.
- Maintain and grow a donor database for long-term support.
Qualifications:
- Experience in fundraising strategy development, donor relationship management, and organizing fundraising events.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of fundraising techniques and best practices.
- Experience in prospecting and managing donor stewardship.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
